Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day One
Agenda :

Pick-up : From Medan Kuala Namu airport by private air-conditioned transport.

Travel : Directly to Bukit Lawang (3-4 hours).

Arrival : Check-in at the hotel. Explore the village, visit the bat cave (depending on arrival time), or relax at the guesthouse for the rest of the day/evening.
Day Two
Agenda :

Morning : After breakfast, our guide will pick you up at 8.30 am from the guesthouse/hotel in Bukit Lawang.

Jungle Trek : Start your journey into the jungle of Gunung Leuser National Park to see wild orangutans, thomas’ leaf monkeys, white-handed gibbons, black gibbons, long-tailed macaques, pig-tailed macaques, hornbills, peacocks, and monitor lizards.

Education : On the 3-hour trek, our guide will educate you on the local wildlife, flora, and fauna, and teach you about local trees/plants used in traditional medicine.

Lunch : After lunch, walk back to your guesthouse in Bukit Lawang.

Relax : Time to relax, enjoy, and shower at our place before traveling back to Medan.

Return : Travel back to the airport or hotel by midday to late noon.

Additional Information
Things to Bring During the Trek

A small backpack with raincoat, toilet paper, medicines, camera + spare battery, insect repellent, and sunblock.

Ensure your luggage is as light as possible (ideally under 10kg).

Clothing: Long sleeves/trousers are optional as there are few mosquitoes. Comfort is most important.

Shoes: Waterproof shoes with good grip/tread are essential for slippery paths.
Other Information

You can choose to return down the river by raft or by walking.

We can drive you back to any part of Medan, including the airport if your flight is later than 8 pm.

We can also drive you to Berastagi or Lake Toba at additional cost.
