Day-by-Day Itinerary
Day One
Agenda :

Pick up : Arrival at Medan hotel or airport, pickup by private air-conditioned transport.

Transfer : Travel directly to Bukit Lawang (3-4 hours).

Explore : Depending on arrival time, explore the village, visit the bat cave, or relax at the guesthouse.
Day Two
Agenda :

Breakfast : Start your day with breakfast at our place.
Lunch : Enjoy a jungle lunch during the trek. -
Trekking : At 8:30 AM, begin your guided trek into the jungle of Gunung Leuser National Park.

Wildlife : See wild orangutans, and possibly Thomas’ leaf monkeys, white-handed gibbons, black gibbons, long-tailed macaques, pig-tailed macaques, hornbills, peacocks, and monitor lizards.

Flora and Fauna : Learn about the local wildlife, flora, and traditional medicinal plants.

Afternoon : Arrive at camp, swim, and relax by the Bohorok river.

Rafting : Leave the campsite by traditional rafting boat (‘jungle style’), follow the river downstream back to the village Bukit Lawang.
Day Three
Agenda :

Breakfast : Enjoy breakfast in our restaurant.

Return Journey : Travel back to Medan (3-4 hours).

Cultural Visit : Time permitting, visit a cultural highlight in Medan such as Maimun Palace, Great Mosque of Medan, Tjong A Fie’s Mansion, Marian Shrine of Annai Velangkanni, or Maha Vihara Maitreya Cemara Asri.

Drop-off : Drop-off at the airport or your hotel.
